Apple Extract Pyrus malu
Apple is very soothing and smoothing to dry skin. It contains malic and tartaric acids, which gently exfoliate the skin.

Bergamot (Non Phototoxic) Citrus aurantium var. bergamia
Bergamot has antiseptic and wound-healing effects. It is also used to treat seborrhoea of the skin and scalp including acne, oily hair and skin. Used in formulations for eczema and psoriasis.

Calendula Calendula officinalis
Calendula has antiseptic, healing, soothing, refreshing and anti-inflammatory properties. Also acts as an emollient, wound healer, anti-itch and has protective benefits.

Carrot Seed Daucus carota
Carrot seed oil is rich in beta-carotene, vitamins A, E and pro-vitamin A to help heal dry, chapped, cracked skin. It helps to balance moisture in the skin and condition hair. Carrot oil is a good face oil and is used to improve skin tone in mature skin, couperose, eczema and psoriasis. Carrot seed oil can also help improve the circulation in the skin, enabling it to heal.

Cedarwood, Atlas Cedrus atlantica
Atlas cedarwood has antiseptic, astringent and wound-healing properties. It is very useful in treating acne and oily skin, dandruff and oily hair. Also used as an insect repellent.

Chamomile Matricaria chamomilla
Has a refreshing, soothing effect on the skin. Also helps wound healing as well as reducing inflammation and irritation. Chamomile also purifies and emolliates. Used in hair products to brighten and add golden highlights to hair.

Coffee Coffea arabica
Has a stimulating, revitalising tonic effect.

Comfrey Symphytum officinale
Excellent skin healer. Comfrey also has soothing, astringent, anti-itch and emolliating properties.

Cucumber Cucumis sativus
Cucumber has soothing, tightening, moisture-binding, anti-inflammatory, hydrating, mild astringent, healing, anti-itch, refreshing and softening properties.

Cypress french Cupressus sempervirens
Cypress has antiseptic, astringent, deodorant and vaso-constrictive effects. It has healing and soothing properties, helps improve venous tone and is used in the treatment of varicose veins, spider veins and broken capillaries. Also helps reduce sebum secretions.

Eucalyptus Eucalyptus globules
Eucalyptus essential oil is distilled from the leaves of the eucalyptus tree. The essential oil is yellow in colour and has a penetrating and refreshing smell. Eucalyptus is best known as a decongestant inhalation for colds and catarrh. Australian aborigines bind eucalyptus leaves around serious wounds. Eucalyptus has antiseptic, anti-bacterial, and pain relieving properties and is used in numerous preparations to treat and relieve symptoms.

Frankincense Boswellia carteri
Frankincense has regenerative and healing properties. It is used to improve the tone of mature and damaged skin, heal wounds, and reduce scaring and excess oil production.

Geranium Bourbon Pelargonium graveolens
Geranium has antiseptic, astringent and healing properties. It helps regulate sebum production and therefore is useful for oily and combination skin. Since geranium encourages wound healing, it is used to improve broken capillaries, varicose veins and spider veins.

Ginko Gingko biloba
Ginko has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. It is a good skin tonic and helps to stimulate the circulation. Also regulates sebum.

Gotu Kola Centella asiatica
Gotu kola has been know for its healing, soothing and firming effects on the skin. It also promotes circulation, and has purifying, stimulating and anti-irritant effects.

Grapefruit Seed Extract Citrus paradisi
Extracted from the seeds of the grapefruit, this extract posses natural anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. It is used in natural body care products as a natural preservative.

Green Tea Camelia synensis
Green tea is rich in anti-oxidant (catechins) properties that help eliminate free radicals, which can cause ageing. (Free radicals are unstable molecules produced from sources like air pollution, radiation and peroxides.) Hence, green tea is a stimulating tonic for ageing skin. It also has anti-cellulitis properties.

Herbalox-O Rosmarinus officinalis
Herbalox-O is naturally derived from rosemary leaf extracts and is primarily used as a natural anti-oxidant to prolong the shelf life of oils. It is therefore, a safe choice in oil blends.

Jojoba Oil Simmondsia chinensis
Jojoba has a fine, sebum-like texture and consistency and is readily absorbed into the skin. Used in moisturising preparations for the face and hair.

Lavender Lavandula angustifolia
Lavender has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and skin-healing properties. Known for its anti-itching effects and also used as an insect repellent.

Lemon Citrus limonum
Lemon has antiseptic, astringent, wound-healing and mild circulatory properties that improve the condition of varicose veins. It is also cleansing and refreshing. Helps to dissolve sebum and is useful in treating oily, congested, devitalised skin.

Lemon Myrtle Backhousia citriodora
Lemon myrtle has antiseptic, astringent, soothing and healing properties. Used on blemished sensitive skin. Often used for its fragrance.

Lime Citrus aurantifolia
Lime oil has a sharp, citrus peel smell to it and is pale yellow in colour. Lime has an astringent and toning action to clear oily skin and acne, as well as helping with insect bites and cuts.

Macadamia Oil Macadamia integrifolia
Macadamia oil has a high anti-oxidant content. It is also very emollient and good for dry or ageing skin.

Mandarin Citrus madurensis
Good for preventing stretch marks in the skin.

Melissa (Lemon Balm) Melissa officinalis
This essential oil has anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, soothing and healing effects on the skin.

Neroli Citrus aurantium ssp amara
Neroli has antiseptic and skin-healing properties. Suitable for use on all skin types. Used to treat inflamed skin, sensitive skin and broken capillaries.

Palmarosa Cymbopogon martini
Palmarosa has antiseptic, hydrating and skin-healing properties. Useful in improving the condition of dehydrated skin. Palmarosa is good for a number of skin conditions such as acne, skin infections, eczema and wounds.

Petitgrain Citrus aurantium
Petitgrain is a yellowish to amber coloured essential oil with a woody and floral smell. Petitgrain is extracted from green unripe oranges when they are still the size of cherries, hence the name Petitgrain or 'little grains'. This oil helps clear up greasy skin, helps with acne, excessive perspiration and tones the skin.

Pineapple Ananas sativus
A refreshing, moisturising and nourishing extract that helps to contract, bind and tighten tissues. Has astringent and anti-phlogistic properties.

Rosemary Rosmarinus offinalis
Rosemary has an astringent effect and a stimulatory effect on the circulation. It has uses in hair and scalp treatment such as dandruff and hair loss.

Rosewood Aniba rosaeodora
Helps to clear the skin. It is also soothing and enhances skin elasticity.

Sage Salvia officinalis
Sage has a softening, invigorating, purifying tonic effect. It also has antiseptic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties.

Sandalwood Santalum spicata
Sandalwood has hydrating properties because it encourages the retention of moisture within the skin layers. It also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which can be useful for the treatment of acne, oily skin and wounds.

Tea Tree Melaleuca alternifolia
Tea tree has excellent anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and wound-healing properties. Used in acne treatments, dandruff, cold sores and infected wounds.

Vetiver Vetiver ia zizanoides
Vetiver has a stimulating effect on the circulation that encourages wound healing. It is used in treating acne, oily skin, wounds and devitalised skin.

Wheat Amino Acid Triticum vulgare
The free amino acid content of wheat germ enables it to penetrate deeply into the cuticles of the hair and the horny layers of the skin, hydrating and conditioning it, which in turn helps to brighten the skin or hair. It is high in vitamins A, B1, D, lecithin, proteins, unsaturated fatty acid compounds and vitamin E (250IU per ounce). Blends well with other oils to give a deep moisturising effect to leave skin and hair soft and smooth.

Ylang Ylang Cananga odorata
Has antiseptic properties and a balancing effect on sebum production. Suitable for oily and dry skin. Ylang ylang helps promote healthy hair and scalp conditions.
